TRUST IN THE LORD

Scripture: Joshua 3:1-17

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

Anything that God asks you to do, know that He is ready to back you up and has already made provision for it. God will never give you an instruction and watch you fail in it. A lot of people receive instruction from God and yet ask God how possible it would be. God has a thousand ways to do whatever he tells you. If He has asked you to step in, don’t question Him that is a sign of unbelief. Obey Him immediately and take action.
Where most of the work lies, is to ascertain that what you are receiving is God speaking. Once it is confirmed, do not waste any time.

Remember when Joshua and the Israelites moved from Shittim to Jordan where they camped before they crossed over. Joshua told the people to consecrate themselves and watch God do mighty things in their midst, while they attempt to cross the raging over flooded waters of the Jordan River. God had told Joshua that the Ark bearing Levites must step into the fast flowing flooded river first before the waters will open. It was dangerous but Joshua knew it was the voice of God. Fear could have been an obstacle to them but they stood. As their feet touched the wet river bed, suddenly the water from the upstream stopped flowing. It piled up as a heap a great distance away and the people were able to cross over. That wouldn’t have happened if they had stopped at questioning God.

Learn to lean on God without doubt and He will back you up. Once you know its God’s word – trust in his unfailing power.

PRAYER: Lord, help me rely on your instruction whole heartedly.

FAITH BYTE: I obey every instruction God gives me without questioning.
