ANCHOR ON HIM

Scripture: Matthew 14:22-32

“For without faith it is impossible to please Him…” Hebrew 11:6 (KJV)

In the book of Hebrews chapter 4 Verse 16 the bible says, “Come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.” Do you have a need? There is grace to help, you can also obtain mercy; ‘sometimes you may say I can not pray as much as the other person does.’ But remember that there is something called the mercy of God; you can start from that point and begin to build on it.

The bible tells us that Peter was a fisher man who knew how to swim, but when the problem was too much for his professional knowledge because the wave was so much, he cried out “Lord save me.” Jesus immediately stretched forth His hand, caught and lifted him up. That challenge will not destroy you because Jesus is right by your side. You need to shout- Lord save me! and He will pick you up with His hand and walk you into the boat. Verse 31 of Mathew 14 declares that, “immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

You doubt when you look at circumstances, you have faith when you look at Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. You doubt when you listen to what situations are saying, your faith is built up when you listen to what the Lord is saying. Place your Anchor on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

PRAYER: Lord I anchor my faith on you, now and forever in Jesus Name.

FAITH BYTE: In trouble, I call on the Lord and He delivers me.
