Scripture: Job 2:1-10
“Then said his wife unto him, dost thou still retain
thine integrity? Curse God and die. Job 2:9 KJV
A major motivation for living a life of integrity no matter the situation or circumstances that surround you whether negative or positive is that you‘ll never die. God shows us through Job that retaining your integrity will guarantee your life. Unfortunately many do not understand this. The devil could not kill him because he maintained integrity.
In a bid to convince Job to let go of his integrity the devil went as far as using Job’s wife to persuade him to let go of his integrity? Curse God and die she said Job 2:9. All job needed to do was to curse either with his lips, his heart, or his actions and then death would come claim him. No matter what don’t let either your friends or family members to convince you to curse God. Many are cursing God with the kind of life they are living. Learn from Job.
“… but he said unto her, thou speakest as one of the foolish women speakest….in all this job did not sin with his lips’’ – Job 2:10 KJV. The above verse of scripture was Job’s answer of integrity to a foolish and devilish advice. Out of Job’s heart of integrity he recognized a foolish advice and did not hold back but firmly rebuked his wife. Be firm enough to never allow anyone sway you against God.
