LORD I NEED TO KNOW!

Scripture: Job 13:20-28

“How many are mine iniquities and sins?
Make me to know my transgressions and my sin. Job 13:23

From the day his woe befell him, Job sought to know why he had become a victim of such a series of violent misfortune in spite of his piety. He subjected himself to vicious self examination but could find no personal sin. So after accusations by his friends Job was forced to ask ‘How many are mine iniquities, transgressions and sins’? What is the cause of these vicious attacks?

What he did not know was that he was not under attack for his sins but for his righteousness. God was not angry with him, He was bragging about him. God was using Job to make a statement that it is possible to serve God and be blessed. Also that it is possible to be extraordinarily wealthy and remain in righteous service to God.

The best of satan’s onslaught did not bend Job. Job’s case is like the manufacturer’s test and stress examination of his machine. Since Job could pass those tests, it means that every man has the capacity to serve God, be blessed, wealthy and also maintain the same state of holiness, even after losing all. God did win in Job’s case. Can God brag about you? Think deeply about this.
