THE TEMPLE OF GOD

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6: 19 -20

“In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth
unto an holy temple in the Lord.” Ephesians 2:21 (KJV)

A temple is a place dedicated for worship and by implication, the dwelling place of God. God no longer dwells in buildings made by man, but rather inside of man (Acts 7:48). You become God’s dwelling place when you get born again. Therefore, as a matter of priority, you have to do all that is
needful to keep your body fit for God’s dwelling, at all times.

The scripture calls for us to abhor that which God abhors, if we must be fit enough to be His host. God hates sin and cannot behold iniquity, hence any form of sin, in any guise, no matter how minute, must be eschewed from our hearts and lives. In particular, we must carry ourselves with the awareness that we are not vain or empty, neither are we ordinary. Such an attitude will better
awaken in us the consciousness of being God-bearers, a living edifice in which lives the Almighty!

Fret not about struggling with sin. Just sincerely make up your mind to live for God, and to daily commit to pleasing and glorifying Him. When God sees that your heart is genuinely for Him, He surely will make available to you the grace to live righteously. More so, the Holy Spirit is on your inside to help you live above the destructive power of sin. As you yield to being a temple for God today and always, be assured that you will enjoy His glory, blessing and power upon you and all that concerns you.

PRAYER: Lord, purge my heart of any issue that keeps me unfit for your habitation in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I am not ordinary. The Almighty dwells on my inside.
