POWER IN THE NAME

Scripture: Acts 4:7-12

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name
under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12 (NKJV)

Many believers are ignorant of the power and potency that the name of Jesus carries They use the name casually. They forget that the name of Jesus has been given to us as a powerful weapon. It is a name that brings victory (1Corinthians 15:57).

When Peter and John preached in the name of Jesus, about 5000 people believed and their lives were transformed.
Even when they were arrested and asked in whose authority they preached, they boldly acknowledged the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus transcends events and circumstances. It provides a way of escape to the one that believes. There is no other name by which salvation comes but through the name of Jesus.

As believers, we are connected in spirit to our Saviour Jesus, we should be bold to activate the power in the name of Jesus. His name is mighty to the pulling down of strong holds. His name heals, restores and transforms. Being born again gives you direct access to this power because God’s spirit lives in you. You possess a potent weapon in the name of Jesus that is far greater than any pain, sickness or frustration. Use it to your advantage.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the knowledge and grace to always employ the name of Jesus in every situation in Jesus name.
