OUR SURE RESCUE

Scripture: Matthew 14:22-33

“The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble;
the name of the God of Jacob defend thee” Psalm 20:1 (KJV)

Feedback: Did your show of love influenced anyone for Christ this past week?

Panic and confusion are the natural tendencies of many when faced with challenging situations. The desperation that comes from these feelings leads many to make the wrong choices with sometimes devastating consequences. However, there is a better way of handling life’s troubles. Instead of falling into fear and panic, the first and most important thing to do is call out to God.

God expects to hear from you whenever you are in trouble and He is always willing to rescue you (Psalm 20:6). All you have to do is call on Him. Just as the basic instinct of a human father would be to comfort and rescue his child whenever the child cries for help, so does our heavenly Father reach out to do the same. He is God during the peaceful times and challenging times as well. With Him there’s absolutely no need for panic. Peter was drowning but as soon as He called out to Jesus, he was saved (Matthew 14:28-31).

Bear in mind that when you are in trouble and need help, not everything is a solution. As God’s child, you have him on speed dial. He sticks closer to you than any human or brother ever could. You can call on him anytime and he will be right there to hold you up. You are never alone. He is available for you when and where you need him. You do not need an appointment to reach out to the throne of grace when you need help. Just call out to Him. He is closer than you think.

Reflection: Is there anything that is causing me to panic?

PRAYER: Lord, help me and rescue me from every storm in my life today in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I receive the help of God, my Father has rescued me. I am free from every trouble.

This Week Walk of Faith: Study at least 2 chapters a day to establish your
stability on God and live in peace not panic.
