THE PLACE OF GRACE

Scripture: Philippians 1:1-11

“It is right for me to feel this way…since I have you in my heart….” Philippians 1:7 (NIV)

The scripture today reminds us of the unfailing nature of the grace of God. Paul underlines his confidence in the truth that God will not abandon you in the middle of the journey. He will always walk with you every step of the way until your victory is assured. This is the grace of God.

Therefore, the place to stand on to become fulfilled in life is the place of grace. The Lord instructed Prophet Elijah to go to the brook Cherith were he was fed for a season. He did not labour for his meals even in famine because God sent a raven who brought him bread and wine. Again the Lord instructed him to move to a widow in Zarephat where he, the widow and her son were sustained, throughout the famine. As long as he was in the place of grace, he had what he needed.

We cannot overlook God’s instruction neither can we afford to remain insensitive to it. His instructions point us to our place of grace. It is in our place of grace that the brook continues to flow
and agents appointed by God supply our bread and wine. In the place of grace, our barrel remains connected for ceaseless provision of meal and oil. May God lead you to your place of grace today.
