THE HOPE OF GLORY

Scripture: Colossians 1:26-29

“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles
the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 (NIV)

Every believer has a hope. A hope of total fulfilment and rest. That hope is delivered to you the moment you receive Jesus as Lord here on earth. What is our hope? What is this glory? Think of a life free from struggle whether financial, health or relationship. Think of a life where you are blessed and a blessing. This is a mere tip of the iceberg compared to what God has in store for you and it all became available to you from the day you received Jesus into your life.
Do not be shaken or discouraged because you do not serve God in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

The gospel is not an “over the counter” solution to problems. It is not a fad that trends and moves on. It is not an influence or a cause. It is living and breathing. It is the Power of the Almighty God given for the irrevocable redemption and transformation of the destiny of every woman, man, boy or girl who believes (Romans 1:16).

God has prepared a glorious life and hope for everyone who believes him, loves him and remains faithful to him. A life that you do not have to wait till you get to Heaven to experience but can actually start living right now. This hope and glory is not for the idle but working believer. Continue walking in love, studying and sharing the word. Keep paying your tithes, keep praying, keep fasting and keep growing. Stand firm and stay true because your reward is sure (Hebrews 11:6b).

PRAYER: Lord, fill me with strength to overcome every discouragement so I can serve you wholeheartedly in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I have a hope and I have a glorious future because I have Jesus. My labour will never be in vain.
