A THOUSAND YEARS OF BLESSING

Scripture: 2 Peter 3:8-22

“But do not forget one thing, my dear friends! There is no
difference in the Lord’s sight between one day and a thousand
years; to Him the two are the same.” 2 Peter 3:8 (GNT)

Feedback: Ponder on how your sharing God’s word impact lives this past week

Our God is eternal. He exists beyond the confinement of time. The Psalmist declares that a thousand years are like a day or a short hour to God (Psalms 90:4). Many read this and only acknowledge the reference made to the immortality of God. However, this statement also means that whatever could take men a thousand years to accomplish, God could achieve and exceed it overnight.

Whenever we pray and answers seem to delay,
we fret and worry as is the natural tendency of every human being, but this is one of the major reasons many doubt and fall from faith. How hard and long have you been praying? Are you starting to feel as though you need to wait a thousand years to get God’s attention? No! A single day of your life is as precious as a thousand years to God and whatever goes wrong in your life hurts Him (Isaiah 43:4). God is actually more eager to bless you than you are to receive (2
Chronicles 16:9a).

There is no task or challenge in existence that is difficult for God (Numbers 11:23) but He needs your consistency; your trust and unflinching commitment. Wait on Him without doubting. The place of waiting isn’t the place of complaining but a place of expectation and preparation for the thousand-fold harvest that will make men marvel. Do not wait in misery and grumbling but in faith and gladness (Isaiah 64:4).

Reflection: Do I always mix my faith with gladness of heart?

PRAYER: Lord, bless me with the grace to truly wait on You till my change comes in Jesus Name.

FAITH BYTE: God’s blessings are multiplied a thousand times over in my life for I have waited and
therefore I receive.

This Week Walk of Faith: List out at least 10 blessings of God in your life and spend this week thanking God for His Faithfulness.
