Scripture: Acts 23:12-35
“I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare and not for
calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NASB)
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. Since he loves you and has great plans for you, he will ensure to that no evil gang up against you can stand. Whatever profession you choose or engage in, his plan is that you would live in such a manner that your life will bring glory and honour to His name.
God has a sovereign plan for each of us that we would glorify Him if we choose to walk in his will.
Wicked men may cook up plans against God’s people, but only His sovereign plan will succeed. God’s plan overrules the plans of men, no matter how powerful they may think they are. Even of kings, God says, “The kings heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes” (Proverbs 21:1).
No force, no matter how evil, can thwart God’s sovereign plan for us (Proverbs 21:30). God carries out his sovereign plan through His often “behind-the-scenes providence” even in the worst of situation by every human standard or assessment. You may not have had a band of assassins sworn to kill you but you may be facing difficult times, perhaps even in connection to your service for the Lord. God wants you to see him, even through your pain, orchestrating events to fulfil His plan for your life.
PRAYER: Lord, let your sovereign plan for my life glorify you in my area and sphere of influence in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE: Your plan for my life overrules the plans of man, no matter how powerful they are in Jesus name.
