A WATERED GARDEN

Scripture: Isaiah 58:1-14

“And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul
in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shall be like a
watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fall not.”
Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV)

In a dry and thirsty land, there is nothing more beautiful or rarer than a lush garden of vibrant, healthy, well-irrigated flowers. It will be “Eden-like” to the passer-by and great refreshment to that soul. In an arid region characterized by severe lack of water, a flourishing garden will be the cynosure of all eyes. Its beauty will attract many to it.
When the Lord makes us like a watered garden, it means we will be a blessing to others as they look on our lives.

The beauty of a garden is external, but it is the internal health of the flowers and plants that bring about its outward beauty. That is why the Bible tells us to let our light shine before men that they may see our good works. The Lord promises to make us like a watered garden if we sincerely and obediently follow Him. This beauty will provide incredible benefits; refreshment to the soul, encouragement for the weary passer-by and inspiration to the feeble.

What does your life exude? Does it radiate the beauty of a lush watered garden or it is like a wasteland in drought? Can others around you draw from you? If you must be like a watered garden, you must make God the source of your sustenance. May God cause the world to rejoice as you manifest the beauty of your flourishing to others.

PRAYER: Lord, please make my life like a watered garden for your glory in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I am a watered garden for the Lord; I cannot fail, because the Lord is my source of beauty.
