HOLD THE WORD

Scripture: Ezekiel 12:20-28

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not
pass away.” Matthew 24: 35 (KJV)

Many Christians still read the Bible as though it were a mere motivational book. Some believers receive prophesies and fail to act on it. They do not back the word they have heard with action because they doubt. The word is potent but you must believe it to have your desires.

God’s word is as a bond for the believer, for God says He will honour his word more than even his name.
To doubt God's word, therefore, is to dishonour him, and to call him a liar! Can God lie? No! He will do that which He says He will do. Heaven and earth will pass away but His word will stand. We must demonstrate absolute trust in the word of God, believing that it has the potency and power to meet our needs and expectations.

Many things tend to interfere with the word, and stand as obstacles against our belief in it. Ignorance, human reasoning, challenges of life, and distractions are some of the hindrances to trusting God’s word. Take God’s word for what it is - the absolute truth and unfailing reality. See testimonies from other believers as genuine and thank God for yours in advance. There is a word for everyone and for every situation. Seek out the word for you and your situation, and prayerfully take a step of faith by acting on it. Take hold of the word today and soar into your place of rest and fulfilment.

PRAYER: Lord, fulfil your word for my life as I lay my absolute trust in you in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: My life is built on the word of God. I am what He says I am.
