THE IMPORTANCE OF VISITATION

Scripture: Acts 15:36-41

"And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again
and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached
the word of the Lord, and see how they do."Acts 15:36(KJV)

In our text, Paul was telling Barnabas, 'come and let us again visit our brethren'. He was referring to their many converts scattered all over the Gentile land. Paul saw it as a necessity to visit those they had brought to the faith, in order to know how they were faring. He knew that they needed to be reaffirmed of the goodness of God and the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

A lot of times, believers win souls to Christ but do not carry out the necessary follow up to ensure that those souls remain in the fold of Christ. New converts are an easy target for the enemy and if not constantly coached and mentored in the word, might fall prey to the devils attempts to pull them down. In the long run, many of these new converts go back to the world, because the believer did not complete his/her assignment.

For our seeds to abide, we should make it a duty to keep nourishing them by way of visitation, constant encouragement, and mentoring in the word, to ensure that those who are still young in the faith become established. When we do this, we fulfill the law of Christ.

REMEMBER TO ATTEND: Leadership/Communion Service tomorrow, 5:30PM.

PRAYER: Lord, help Christians worldwide to see visitation of other brethren as an indispensable obligation in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I bear the burdens of the young In the Lord; thus, I fulfill the law of Christ.
