PRAYER INTIMACY

Scripture: Luke 9:28-36

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same
with thanksgiving;” Colossians 4:2 (KJV)

Intimacy is a deeper level of relationship where there is absolute trust, deep understanding and strong love or affection between the parties. This level of relationship is usually found between a husband and wife. It is the type of relationship that exists between God and Jesus and it should be the type of relationship we should have with Jesus Christ. However Intimacy takes a lot of time, commitment and consistency to build.


Aristotle is quoted as saying “Wishing to be a friend is quick work, but building friendship is a slow ripening fruit”. We have 24 hours in a day, thus if we follow the concept of the tithe, we should be spending at least 2 hours 40minutes everyday on Intimacy with Jesus, in Prayers and Bible study. But many Christians don’t even spend up to 30minutes with Jesus daily. Becoming a proof producer for the kingdom of God, requires Intimacy in the place of prayer.

Begin to build Intimacy with Jesus Christ. He is the groom, we are His bride and He is waiting for us to draw nearer to Him. He has so many things to show us, tell us, and achieve with our lives. Start with 30minutes daily and consistently grow from there.
