COMPEL THEM!

Scripture: Luke 14:56-23

‘’And the Lord said to the servant, Go out unto the highways
and hedges and, compel them to come in, that my house
may be filled.’’ Luke 14:23 (KJV)

The life of a believer is the life of soul-winning. That is the dominion mandate to all Christians, and as a true believer, we must not compromise on the master’s command of making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). Don’t waste any more time. It’s unfair to let another sinner slip into hell because you did not tell him about God.

Jesus paints a clear picture of the demands of soul-winning to us, in the opening scripture. The key take from the story is that we must not return empty handed to God each time He leads us to minister the Gospel to sinners. We must compel everyone to come to God because their salvation has been paid for, with the blood and life of Jesus Christ. To let a sinner die in sin is to make a waste of the immeasurable gift of salvation! People naturally tend to make excuses and will need a little extra push, persuasion and insistence before they agree to and adapt to changes. Likewise, those bound in sin will need more than once-in-a-while preaching to quit sinning and come to the knowledge of salvation.

In order to compel sinners to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, you have to pray for God to guide your steps and utterances and to soften their hearts to yield to the Holy Spirit. Use your life as a believer to testify to the goodness of God, and the benefits of serving God. Follow up on all saved souls and ensure they are fully integrated into a local church, and are themselves soul-winners.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to be a dedicated soul-winner.

FAITH BYTE: I am passionate about making God happy; I win souls!
