Scripture: Proverbs 4:10-27
"For they are life unto those that
find them, and health to all their flesh."

A man once met one of our Pastors to be prayed for. He had woken up one morning to discover that he was clothed with a strange affliction. His body was swollen all over, from head to toe. Satan had launched a sudden attack. In spite of several visits to doctors, no diagnosis could be made, drugs prescribed did not help.
Tired of futile and expensive attempts, he decided to seek help from the Lord. The pastor first instructed him in the word of God. Subsequently, he prayed laying hands on him according to Mark 16:18.He felt relieved, but to sustain the healing process, this dear man had to maintain a faith connection with God's healing power by allowing the Word to abide in him according to John 15: 7 until the full cycle of healing took place.
Many people stop the process half cycle and suffer devastating and sometimes fatal results. To this end, the Pastor instructed him to read 1 Pet. 2:24, instructing him to confess that "by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed" one thousand times a day. He did as instructed by the pastor and that condition diminished in a matter of days. It is one thing to be prayed for, but it's another thing to receive the prayer power administered. God's word is God's medicine to heal every condition of mankind. If you can get God's word into your inside, you will see God's power manifest in your life.
PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace and the discipline to receive your word in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE: I attend to the Word of God, I keep the Word before my eyes, I hear and do the Word of God.
