Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 1:3-12
“Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your
perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and
trials you are enduring”. 2 Thessalonians 1:4(NIV)
Christians are not immune from trials and persecutions. As believers, we should remember while still in this world; we will face trials and persecutions but as believers, we have a guarantee; Jesus will be with us through all of it as we depend on him continually.
Also, God will use these persecutions to make us worthy of his kingdom (vs.5) and in his justice; he will punish those who persecute us (vs.6)
We again have a guarantee that he will provide a rest for the persecuted when Jesus appears from heaven (vs.7). On that day, you will be one of those praising him for you believed when Jesus was preached to you (vs.10). So be steadfast and know that you have a loving father.
PRAYER: Lord, give me the strength to endure and be faithful through whatever trials or persecutions that may come my way.
FAITH BYTE: I am victorious even when persecuted because I rest in him who was victorious on the cross
