SEEK TO PLEASE THE KING
Scripture: Esther 2:15-17
“Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.” Ephesians 5:10 (NLT)
Hegai knew exactly what the king wanted. While the other women were after what they could get, Esther went after what the king wanted. Esther asked for nothing more than what Hegai suggested (v15) This is the role the Holy Spirit plays in our life today.
Esther was able to recognize opportunities. She understood that Hegai should know
what the king wanted as his position gave him access to the king. We, as Christians, have the same advantage, but the question is do we make the best out of it? The bible says God has given us free and total access to the Holy Spirit to teach and bring all things to our remembrance (Jn.14:26). Have we asked the Holy Spirit what exactly moves God? Have we allowed him to pray through us instead of coming to God with our list? Do we let the Holy Spirit decide what is best for us. Have we spent enough time knowing God, like Hegai knew the king in order to know what excites and pleases Him?
The Holy Spirit reveals the father and the son to us daily. Rely on him to bring the truth of God’s word into your heart and life, and do not seek for more than he gives. He will help you to do always and only those things that are pleasant in the sight of God. He will always give you all you need to succeed.
PRAYER: Lord, help me as I spend time with the Holy Spirit to know more of you in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE; I recognize and utilize every opportunity that will help me move the hand of God in my favor.
