A HUMBLE BIRTH

“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.” Romans 12:16 (NIV)

The birth of a king should be one filled with a lot of pomp Tand pageantry but the circumstances surrounding the birth of the King of all kings depicts humility at its best. God could have sent his son Jesus into a royal family where he could have been surrounded by all the riches
and comfort he would ever need but the most important King to ever walk the earth was born in a manger to a carpenter!

Your social status does not guarantee you a place in God’s heart. Do not be deceived by the cares of this world because that is not what really counts in the sight of God. If God could send the Messiah to the family of a carpenter and to be born in a manger where animals are kept then that should give us an insight into how He thinks

Being humble doesn’t make you any less; instead it elevates you. Don’t feel too big to serve and surrender to God, don’t feel too big to go to the house of worship because you feel the people there are not of the same status with you. Jesus was born in a manger but is God himself! God humbled himself for your sake, you are not more important than he is. Don’t let the circumstances surrounding you determine who you are; a little carpenter’s son saved the world and is still saving the world till today.
