Scripture: Esther 9:1-14
“For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame
went out throughout all the provinces: for this man
Mordecai waxed greater and greater.”
Esther 9:4 (KJV)
The events around which our lives are woven are subject
to God’s control. God sometimes permits pain, but he is able to transform the pain into joy as we rely fully on
Him
Mordecai endured the loss of relatives and homeland. He
had to adopt his cousin Esther and brought her up as his own
daughter.
He raised her up and she eventually became
queen in the land of Persia. He endured the ignominy of
remaining at the king’s gate, was hated for being a Jew and
his life was threatened. He ended up in sack clothes
weeping at the palace gate. Eventually, everything turned
around for him. He was honoured by the king, given authority
to make decrees using the king’s seal and became the
symbol of hope to his people.
Whatever you are going through today is only a light affliction
compared to the glory that awaits you. God will turn the
situation around to favour you if you do not give up. The Most
High is your dwelling place and your refuge - no harm will
befall you. He has given his angels charge over you and they
will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your
foot against a stone. As he restored Mordecai and countless
others, he will also do the same for you.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to endure
trials and hard times to
your glory in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE: By the grace of God
I endure persecution and
the glory of God is
revealed in my life daily.
