Scripture: Judges 20:18-28
“…And the LORD said, Go up; for tomorrow
I will deliver them into thine hand.”
Judges 20:28 (KJV)
The children of Israel went out to war against the tribe of
Benjamin because of their atrocity. Even though they sought God’s face before going into battle, they lost
twice to the tribe of Benjamin. They, however, refused to
become discouraged and they did not relent because they
knew they were doing God’s will.
In the same way, you must not give up in spite of the
challenges you are going through.
After seeking God and
receiving God’s word concerning the situation you are facing,
you need to hold unto it no matter how long it takes until it is
fulfilled (Ps. 30:5). Even when it seems things are only
getting worse, hold on. When it looks as if your heart’s desire
is delayed, hold on. Go back to seek God’s counsel on the
matter consistently. Stay encouraged and keep banking on
God’s word and God will ensure your victory.
The devil does not want you to succeed (Jn. 10:10) and will
attempt to make things worse or present them to be worse
than they really are. He puts fear in your heart knowing fear is
the only way he can hold you bound; but God has given you
courage. This should give you confidence because it means
your victory is near. God has never failed and he will not start
with you. He will watch over his word to fulfill it. God has given
you the assurance of victory in his word. So, hold on in faith.
