Scripture: Matthew 26:69-75
“Peter answered and said to Him, "even if all are made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble." Matthew 26:33 (NKJV).

It is very important we guard jealously the salvation we have in Christ. The devil is always looking for an opening to spoil our testimony. We may face certain situations that test our faith in God and because of this, we may pull back to protect ourselves from attack or discrimination.

Despite Jesus’ warning and Peter’s promise to him that he would not stumble, he still did. He vehemently denied Jesus yet Jesus did not cast him away. In his loving kindness, he restored Peter to the fold. Peter’s case is evidence that believers must watch their stand, lest they fall This is because our perfection is only in Christ and not in ourselves.

As a believer, you should watch your stand with the Lord daily. Let nothing come between you and your belief in God. Nothing should separate you from God, not even persecution or trial. Hold firm to your confession. Do not let the devil trick you into denying Jesus when faced with life's challenges. Keep your head up and stand for what you believe notwithstanding the opposition you face.

Lord, help me stand with and for you daily, in Jesus name.

I walk with God daily no matter the circumstances around me.
