MAKE ROOM FOR INCREASE

Scripture: Esther 2:1-9, 17

“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land.” Isaiah 1:19 (NIV)

Before we see increase on the outside, we need to make room for it on the inside. If you have a small vision, you will limit your life. God’s supply is unlimited, his blessings and promises of good are for all believers
but there are conditions to be met in order to tap into this abundance.

The king’s order to remove Vashti as queen created an opening. That opening was to be filled by someone better than her. That mean the replacement must have made herself ready to occupy such a position and have qualities and character worthy of such honor. Esther’s life in this story is characterized by one significant truth. She lived a life of obedience (Es. 2:20). The spirit of obedience will make room in your life that will allow you eat the best of the land.

How much room do you make daily through your obedience to God’s word? Obedience demands actions today that will position us for increase tomorrow. When Elisha told the widow to borrow jars, close her door and pour the oil, she acted without hesitation and her obedience brought increase in her life (2 Kgs 4:1-7). Obedience to God may make us seem foolish sometimes, but when we move in obedience to his word, he blesses us beyond our expectation.
