Scripture: Ruth 1:6-18
“Only be thou strong and very courageous…that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest” Joshua 1:7 (KJV)
Boldness is an attribute of the Holy Spirit. It does not depend on how much you have or who you are, but on who you are in Christ Jesus. When Ruth left Moab with her mother-in-law, she had no clue what the future held for her.
She had already decided that she will serve the God of Naomi and will accept whatever he did to her. Ruth took a bold step in leaving the city of her birth and going with Naomi to a life of uncertainty with people she had never known. She took a risk of faith and God came through for her.
Many Christians today are fearful in taking bold steps in their Christian life especially when situations around are unpleasant. They are quick to give up because things are not working in their favour. It would have been very easy for Ruth to join her sister-in law and return to Moab, rather, she embraced God. You will require boldness to obtain what God has prepared for you. The devil and the world system will oppose you but when you stand firm, you will succeed.
Just as God repeatedly told Joshua to be strong and bold, he is telling you to be bold (Jos.1:7). God has given you the spirit of boldness that you may live and act with courage (2 Tim. 1:7). The bible further reminds believers to come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Heb.4:16). His grace is sufficient to change things around in our favour. We only need to be bold and step out with courage.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to be bold and courageous in following divine direction in Jesus name
FAITH BYTE: I received boldness from the Holy Spirit and I take bold steps to my breakthrough.
