WILES OF THE DEVIL?

Scripture: Matthew 14:22-33

“For we walk by faith, not by sight”
2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Feedback: Share your testimony of God’s goodness over your life.

If you have unlimited and unmitigated access, you will not seek. You can only seek when you have been denied access, so you begin to look for a way in. Satan is seeking because he cannot walk into your life when he likes. He has to seek entrance, so he keeps weaving his way through by throwing different things;
ranging from imaginations, thoughts, deceit, tricks, etc. In 2 Corinthians 10:5 we are admonished to cast down imaginations, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. All this can only be done in faith.

The devil came with a contrary wind against Peter which plunged him into fear because of what he saw, for the bible says, he began to sink, it didn’t say he sank. The encroachment of fear is proportional to the exit of faith. The value of fear that comes in is equal to the value of faith that goes out. If Peter had kept his eyes fixed on the Lord, or if he had rebuked the spirit of fear He would have completed his walk of faith victoriously.

Do not open your mind to the devil just like Eve did in Genesis 3:6. The Devil is not a man of strength but a man of tricks, the bible tells us not to be ignorance of his devises.

Reflection: Am I engaging my knowledge of God’s word in defeating the devil?

PRAYER: Every crafty plot of satan against my destiny, be exposed.

FAITH BYTE: I am not ignorant of the devices of the devil in Jesus Name.

This Week Walk of Faith: Locate at least 3 promises in the scripture and keep confessing the promises for the rest of the week.
