GREAT FAITH

Scripture: Matthew 8:5-13

“Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as
you believed it would.” And his servant was healed
at that very hour.” Matthew 8:13 (NIV)

The word of God prescribes how a believer should live. Habakkuk 2:4 says “the just (the believer) shall live by faith.” The same declaration may be found in Gal 3:11, Romans 1:17 amongst other scriptures.
As a believer, God made you to live by faith. Many Christians are struggling in life because they are not living God’s prescribed life style.

Faith is – confidence in God. Confidence in God is confidence in the word of God. Great faith is great confidence in God through his word. Jesus Christ and the centurion in our last text manifested great faith. This is linked to the fact that he did not require the physical presence of the Lord for his servant to be healed. Instead he emphasized total confidence in the ability of the word of Jesus to convey healing and resurrection to his dying servant. Jesus said, “I have not found such GREAT FAITH in Israel.”

We manifest great faith when we exercise complete confidence in the ability of the word of God as much as we would if he were physically present with us. You can manifest great faith.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the kind of understanding that the centurion had which made his faith great.

FAITH BYTE: I live by faith. I am manifesting great faith.
