MAINTAIN YOUR CONFIDENCE

Scripture: Daniel 3:8-17, 28-30

“Cast not away therefore your confidence,
which hath great recompense of reward.”
Hebrews 10:35 (KJV)

One of the biggest challenges of modern day believers is the exercise of faith in God. Faith is confidence in God, confidence that He will do what He promised. Until we really come to know the person and character of God, we continue to doubt him.

In 2 Corinthians 5:6 the Bible says “Therefore, we are always confident, knowing ….” Knowing God builds up our confidence in Him and His willingness and ability to honour his word. Daniel himself whose confidence in God was so potent, remains one of God’s examples to every generation of believers. It says in Daniel 11:32, “…they that know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” Daniel’s confidence in God did not buckle even at the risk of his life. He did not cast his confidence away.

There are rewards for holding unto the word of God. God honours our faith. The foundation of such faith is what we know about God. Jesus said in Matthew 11:29, “… learn of me …” The promised result is “ye shall find rest (confidence) unto your souls.”

PRAYER: Lord cause my confidence in you be firm even in times of adversity.

FAITH BYTE: I am confident in the God that neither sleeps nor slumbers.
