TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Scripture: Titus 1:1-5
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:18 (KJV)

When God gives an assignment, it may be bigger than you and might require others to join you to complete it. Moses needed Aaron, Joshua and the 70 elders. David needed his mighty men and Jesus needed his disciples. Paul also required people to join him in his work to preach the gospel and to strengthen the churches he had planted. One of such people who joined him in his ministry was Titus.
Titus was a Greek convert to Christianity and had joined Paul on several missionary works (Gal. 2:1-3). This was why Paul could rely on him and committed the churches in Crete to his care.  A lot still needed to be done in Crete but Paul was not in the position to do it. He found Titus to be faithful and committed to him the responsibility of completing the work he had started. Titus completed this assignment and Paul later sent for him to do other missionary works.

Just as Paul needed people, Jesus also needs you to complete the work he has started. He requires you to continue and complete the mandate of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth (Matt. 28:19).  You do this when you are planted in a local church, align yourself with the vision of the church and take up responsibility for completing any assignment given to you. Do not hold back, God needs you and has enabled you.

PRAYER:
Lord, I take up the task of reconciliation; help me to be faithful to my assignment on earth in Jesus name, Amen.

FAITH BYTE:
By God’s grace, I am faithful to my responsibility.
