YOUR MIND AND PRAYER

Scripture: James 5:13-20

“Therefore confess you sins to each other and pray for each other
so that you may be healed. The prayer of righteous man is
powerful and effective” James 5:16 (NIV)

As we study productive prayer further, may I encourage you to do your best to put what we are learning to practice.

The mind is very important when it comes to prayers. It is true that we can circumvent it by praying in tongues but it is also true that when God relates back to us, in answer to prayers, we need our mind to decode the information that flows from him in the spirit to us in the physical.

Keeping a prayer diary is a good tool that keeps the mind focused in prayers. You can write down your prayer outline then jot down key scriptures and your understanding of them and of course what you feel God is saying to you. This is a vital way to be effectual and fervent in prayer.

This practice will later on provide you with record of answered prayers and will reveal recurring issues in your life. This diary of your communion with God gives tremendous future encouragement and will help you give your full attention in prayer and your relationship with God will grow in a powerful way. Do it today.

REMEMBER TO ATTEND: Leadership/Communion Service tomorrow, 5:30PM.
