FEAR OF GIVING

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:6-11

“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread
for your food, and multiplies your seed sown, and increase the
fruits of your righteousness”. 2 Corinthians 9:10(KJV)

Most people who fail to give present various excuses for their inaction in giving. The plain simple fact is, they are scared. Scared that they will loose their bird in hand, they are not sure of the two in the bush. As long as you hold unto your seed, you are tying down your future, this is the truth.


Your birds are not in the bush, they are in your seed. God cannot lie; He has sworn by Himself that if you sow and fail to reap, He will cease to exist (Hebrews 6:18), it’s as serious as that.

Your money represents four very important aspects of you: your time, your strength, your talents and your inheritance; God plans to prosper you in all aspects of your life including your money. “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health just as your soul prospers”. 3John 2 (NAS).

Failure, defeat, frustration and poverty are not God’s will for you. To ensure that your life does not turn out this way, but instead it prospers in all respects including monetary, you must plant seeds into fertile ground in preparation for the future.

Reflection: What are the things that are stopping me from giving cheerfully?

PRAYER: I come against the fear of giving in my life in the Name of Jesus.
