TAKEN

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:39-53

“Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken and
the other left.” Matthew 24:40 (KJV)

The idea that every true follower of Christ will one day be suddenly snatched into the heavens sounds like science fiction to the world, but it is the hope of every true Christian to one day be with the Lord. Thus like children we believe in Jesus and His plan to take us out of this world.

However, our flesh was created by God as clothing for our spirit man, it was formed from the earth and is limited to this earth. In order to leave this earth,
we will need bodies made especially for
life in heaven. That’s why God put His Holy Spirit into every believer, so that once it is time, Jesus will appear in the sky, the trumpet of God will sound and a mighty arch angel will shout. This will be the Holy Spirit's signal. He will change our mortal bodies into immortal bodies (Romans 8:11) which will rise off the earth towards heaven where we belong. Those whose bodies did not change will be left on earth. Those who died as true Christians will of course go first, remember they have since cast off this earthly flesh (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

Do not get tired of thinking about the time when you will be taken. If there’s any one you do not want to be left behind, then keep telling them about Jesus, so they can have the Holy Spirit inside them too. Do not stop saying “come Lord Jesus, come”. It will help you stay ready for that sweet day, when you will be swept away into God's presence, forever.

REMEMBER TO ATTEND: Leadership/Communion Service tomorrow, 5:30PM.

PRAYER: Lord, keep me ready as I wait for your coming in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I believe in the future rapture of the church by God, and I am staying ready.
