POWER WITHIN

Scripture: Luke 10:17-20

“For these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name
they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;”
Mark 16:17 (NIV)

Believers are not simply followers of Christ, they ought to manifest his power. We are, expected to reign on earth on Christ’s behalf while we await His second coming. Aware of the hurdles we will face, Jesus, gave us the power of attorney before he ascended to Heaven. He gave us the right to do all that He would do if He was still physically present here on earth, concerning any and everything. By implication,
we are expected to operate at the same level of power and might as Jesus Christ,
and even greater, if only we believe (John 14:12).

Why then do many believers go through turbulent times, in spite of their enormous powers? Doubt. Unbelief. Sin. Fear. Faithlessness. Pride. Wrong motives. These and many more are some of the numerous impediments to our living our true Christian virtues and value. Until we deal with these impediments, we will be like sleeping lions - powerful on the inside, but vulnerable land weak on the outside.

Have you placed a demand on your power as a believer? Do you believe greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world? Do you know you have authority to command demons? Do you know
you can trample upon snakes and scorpions and not come to any harm? Do you know you can decree a thing and it shall be established? God is in you! You are not a victim. Quit being a weak Christian. Exercise your power of attorney today and conquer grounds for Christ while He tarries.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving me the power to act in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I am untouchable. I manifest the power of God.
