FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

Scripture: Ephesians 4:17-32

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were
assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,
and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4: 6:13 (KJV)

The human mind is elastic. The mind can be stretched to do unimaginable things. This ability to stretch our minds beyond bounds has resulted in the many inventions and innovations that we are accustomed to today. If we can achieve these results with our human limitations, imagine what we could do with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Paul commands us not to be drunk with wine,
but to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Drunkenness is not a one-off affair; it takes a continuous habit of ingesting alcohol to be a drunk. The
same process applies with the Holy Spirit. It requires conscious and continuous work to live a Spirit-filled life. The disciples prayed, the place was shaken and the assembly became filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:31). Your actions activate His work.

Your human spirit stays malnourished without the Holy Spirit. He is the food your spirit needs to thrive and excel. Activate the Holy Spirit in your life. Shake the earth with the power of the Holy
Spirit. Jesus said you shall do greater things than he did because you have the power of the Holy Spirit available to you. You shortchange yourself if you do not take advantage of His power. Stay
filled and active. Pray in tongues, confess the word and serve faithfully.
