JOY UNSPEAKABLE

Scripture: Acts 13:46-52

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,” Galatians 5:22 (KJV)

How do you react when faced with oppositions? Flare up? Get sad and moody? Give up entirely? These reactions will not make any situation better neither will they help you in any way. You have to rejoice in the midst of every situation because God never fails.

Paul and Barnabas were able to get the attention of a large congregation who were eager to hear the word of God and this angered the Jewish leaders.
The word of God was making a huge impact and as usual under such circumstances, the devil sought to cause confusion. Paul and Barnabas were eventually expelled from the region. Instead of feeling hurt or distraught, the bible records that they were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit!

The Holy Spirit is the source of joy and inspires joy unspeakable. When you have him in you, your natural response to situations will be that of optimism. Where the devil expects you to wallow in pain and self-pity, you will be found rejoicing and in peace. There is a very close relationship between the Holy Spirit and joy, you cannot be filled with the Spirit and lack joy in your life. Devote your life to the service of God and endeavour to witness everywhere and every time. The Holy Spirit will touch the hearts of those you witness to while increasing your joy beyond bounds.
