TAKE HEED

Scripture: Matthew 24:3-14

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you.” Matthew 24:4 (KJV)

Feedback: Consider all the things you are grateful for

The 21st century church has largely yielded itself to the dictates and glamour of modernity. Many believers are increasingly being driven by their quest for wealth, pleasures, power and fame. To hunger for those things is to be carnal minded,
which is totally opposed to the will and purpose of God for us.

This is not the time for us to be materialistic. We see from our key scripture that the end is near at hand, as all of the things Jesus foretold His disciples are playing out daily, even before our eyes! W must awake from our slumber. We can no longer afford to gloss over the important things of God, and of the kingdom to the detriment of our souls. Our quest for life’s cares must not be such that will rubbish our relationship with God, or jeopardize our eternity. We must also take heed that we are not deceived for many false teachers and prophets abound in the church.

Live everyday of your life as though it was your last. Be good to all men. Never repay evil for evil, but counter the evil with with good deeds. Always let the word of God guide your thoughts, words and actions. Spend quality time in the presence of God with one goal in mind – to commune and fellowship with God. Spread the gospel wherever you go and let the light of God shine through you. Above all, be wise to the ways and wiles of the enemy and equip yourself with the armour of God always lest you fall.

Reflection: How and on what do I spend my time?

PRAYER: Lord, please keep my feet from falling, and my heart from being deceived even as I await the Second Coming.

FAITH BYTE: I am focused on God and His Kingdom affairs. I can’t be deceived.

This Week Walk of Faith: Spend time this week asking God to use bring His Kingdom here on earth.
