VISITING OUR BRETHREN

Scripture: Acts 15:36-41 (KJV)

“And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, let us go again and visit brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord and see how they do.” Acts 15:36 (KJV)

In our text, Paul was telling Barnabas, come and let us again visit our brethren. He was referring to their many converts scattered all over the Gentile land. Paul saw it as a necessity to visit those they had brought to the faith, in order to know how they were faring.

A lot of times in our lives, we tell people about Jesus and get them, saved. But as soon as they get saved, we abandon and forsake them not minding the circumstances they might be going through. In the long run, many of these people end up going back, because we did not complete the assignment.

Our seeds should abide. You should make it a point of duty to visit those who are young in the faith to ensure that they are established. When you do this, you increase the bond and relationship between one another, you get to know and find out more about your brethren in order to encourage them to keep the faith especially when they are passing through some form of challenges.

PRAYER: Lord, help me and other Christians worldwide to see visitation of other brethren as an indispensable obligation.

FAITH BYTE: I bear the burdens of the young in the Lord; thus I fulfill the law of Christ.
