PRAY ALWAYS

Scripture: Psalms 5:1-12

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that
they should always pray and not give up”
Luke 18:1 (NIV)

Prayer is an act of communication to God your maker, a time where you make your request, appeal, entreaty, supplication or petition to the almighty. Two of the most common problems that can keep us (our hearts) occupied or busy from praying are one: wandering of the mind and two: falling asleep.

What can you do to keep a wandering mind focused? You can do these: pray out loud, pray with the use of a prayer list, pray using specific Bible verses or chapter. To avoid going to sleep, go to bed earlier and when you wake up, do not assume a posture that will have you comfortably back to sleep because the spirit is truly willing but the flesh is weak (Matthew 14:38). For example, when you wake up, sit on your bed with your feet on the floor or better still, stand up and pace around your room while you pray.

Your prayer time is an appointment with God. Look forward to it. You must keep it at all cost. Do all you can to keep a vibrant prayer life. Do not be too busy and tired not to pray.

PRAYER: O Lord, help me daily to keep this most important appointment before anyone else.

FAITH BYTE: I love to meet with God daily. I shall keep my appointments with him and he will never allow me to be disappointed.
