Scripture: Psalm 91:1-6
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” Psalm 91:1 (KJV)
The secret place of the Most High is the place of prayer. Prayer is an intimate conversation between you and your Father the living God of heaven and earth. It is a place of interaction and bonding with God. It is a sure way of spending time with God and a means to abide under the Shadow of his protection (v1).
Job proved to be a man of prayer who worshiped God through sacrifices every morning (Job 1:5). Abraham was a man of prayer who always built an altar to call on God as he journeyed from place to place (Genesis 12:8, 13:3-4). David was also a man of prayer who never failed to always ask God for direction as his kingdom expanded (1 Samuel 2:1, 5:19). Throughout the bible, there are many accounts of men and women who effectively dwelt in the secret place through a vibrant prayer life. Consequently, they activated the hedge of God over their live as manifested by the divine protection and favour that they always experienced.
Enter God’s secret place today and activate his protection through prayer. Create and maintain a healthy and regular prayer timetable for yourself and family and God will oversee every detail of your life (Psalm 91: 14-16, 11-12). It is a tested and proven way to resting under the canopy of his wings.
PRAYER: Lord, bring me into your secret place; release the gift of effective prayer upon me in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE: I abide under the shadow of the Almighty because I spend time in the secret place of prayer.
