STEP IN

Scripture: Esther 2:1-11

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”  Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Life often throws tough questions and challenges our way. At such times, we ponder what the outcome would be if we took a certain path or made a certain choice. We may even wish we had the benefit of foresight or the ability to see into the future so we can have an assurance that we have made the best decision. This can sometimes hinder us from making life changing decisions.

When Mordecai’s uncle died, he took up the responsibility of caring for his uncle’s daughter, Esther. This may have been a tough and difficult decision. Yet he raised a wonderful woman who later became a queen in Persia and saved the entire Jewish nation from death.

Mordecai’s action exemplified a man who would give all for what he believed in. When opportunities come up to fill a gap, solve a problem or help out, what do you do? Do you get worried about a lack of skill, experience or money? Do not let feelings of fear, doubt, or inadequacy paralyze or stop you. God who has created the opportunity will provide the enablement and that small (mustard) seed of opportunity can turn into an oak of greatness (1 Thess. 5:24). Ensure to commit to constant learning and dependence on God and you would be amazed at what God can do through you. Take that step in faith today.

PRAYER:
Lord, I ask for grace to step in when opportunity calls without fear or doubt in Jesus name, Amen.

FAITH BYTE:
I step into opportunities and I prosper because I depend on God.
