WITNESS FOR CHRIST

Scripture: Acts 23:1-11

“Be brave; for as you have solemnly & faithfully witnessed
about Me at Jerusalem, so you must also testify at Rome”
Acts 23:11 (AMP)

Feedback: Share how standing on God’s word has helped you.

To witness simply means to testify in order to lend more evidence and veracity to a matter. As a believer, it is your responsibility to witness for Christ. You ought to be a permanent living proof of the message of Christ by the way you live and as you share His word with others daily.

Like Apostle Paul did, you must keep witnessing for Christ regardless of opposition, persecution or embarrassment. The command God gave to Paul also applies to all believers today. He expects us to be brave witnesses of Him not only in our Jerusalem (neighborhood, community and town), but to the rest of the world! (Acts 23:11)

This is the time to get up and simply obey! The world is filled with millions of people headed in the wrong direction. As faithful labourers in the vineyard of the Lord, the mandate to step out and pull in the harvest of souls rests squarely on our shoulders (Matthew 28:19-20). Obedience to God  always earns His favour and blessing (Isaiah 1:19), so let us cooperate with the Lord to make our lives and the world a better place.

Reflection: In what ways am I fulfilling the great commission today?

Lord, give me the courage and zeal to keep witnessing for you in Jesus name Amen.

I am a witness for Christ! People surrender to Christ as I share His word and testimonies in my life with them daily.

This Week Walk of Faith: Ask God for one soul and completely believe God to give you a soul as you go out to preach this week.
