PAY YOUR DEBTS

Scripture: Proverbs 3:27-33

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of your hand to do so.”
Proverbs 3: 27 (KJV)

The word 'due' used here means that you owe it. It is a debt. bible is saying here that whenever you owe someone, endeavor to payback that which you owe. This is because it is easy to get into debt but hard to get out of it. Unfortunately, debts owed to a friend can destroy trust and divide even close friendships.

Delaying or refusing payback on your debts is unfair, ungodly & wicked especially when you have it and can payback. Be eager to payback your loans just as you were eager to take it from your lender. Avoid being a bad debtor. It puts you at a disadvantage with men and even with God (Proverbs 3:33). The godliest thing to do is to try & pay back ahead of schedule, if possible.

This attitude will cause them to give to you again if the need arises in the future. It will keep your integrity intact & attract God’s blessing for obedience to His Word.

PRAYER: Lord bless me with the grace to pay all my debts in Jesus Name. Amen.

FAITH BYTE: By the grace of God, all my needs are met according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus my Lord. I am debt-free!
