Scripture: Genesis 4:1-7
“Honor the Lord with your wealth with the first fruits
of all your crops;” Proverbs 3: 9 (NIV)
The principle of the “First Fruit” is well substantiated from scripture (Genesis 4:1-6). It is a requirement from God as worship and honour to Him for He is the source of all (Psalm 89:11). It is a tested and proven source of blessing for any that obey (Proverbs 3:9-10).
Your first fruit is an intentional, well thought out, & significant seed given reverentially, prayerfully & joyfully to God (Genesis 4:4). It is usually done through your “Priest” (Pastor of your local church)- Leviticus 23:10. Your firstfruit is not your “leftovers” and it must be given with the right attitude.
Cain found out the hard way that God despises “leftovers” (Genesis 4:3,5-7). God will always love, prefer & bless the cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
All resources belong to Him – we are only managers of God’s resources. Giving your first fruit is not a waste. It is worship and honor to God; an acknowledgement of His sovereignty over every aspect of your life. It is a divine guarantee for abundance & supernatural provision.

PRAYER: Lord, bless me with more grace to always give You first of all my increase before any other thing in Jesus’ name.
FAITH BYTE: I put God first in my life. I give willingly of the first fruit of my increase and I am blessed of the Lord daily.
