“And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two
from top to the bottom”.
Matthew 27:51 (NKJV)

Feedback: Share how your complete trust in God produced result this past week.

Until the death of Jesus, the Old Testament temple which had the outer court, inner court (Holy Place) and the inner most court (Holy of Holies) was God’s earthly covenant dwelling place. God had long desired for man to be His dwelling place because of the love he has for man.

Gods purpose for creating man is to commune with man,
and the only way to fulfil this is to occupy that part where Satan is after, the heart. 1 Co 2:12

Upon the death of Jesus on Golgotha’s hill, the thick veil separating the Holy place from the Holy of holies was rent in two pieces from the top to the bottom. The Jehovah of Israel now has an unlimited connection with man like He once did in Eden. The Ark of the Covenant which represented the very presence of God would no more be required for a physical temple. The priesthood as it was known ended. Jesus said: “I will destroy this temple (Old Testament temple) and restore it in three days”. The old temple was overridden by the new that was built during Christ’s resurrection.

1Corithians 3:16 says “know ye not that ye are a temple and the Spirit of God dwell in you”. The new creation is God’s temple today. If you are born again, you are a new creation and you are now God’s temple, His house address, His abiding place where you have free access to the power and presence of God.

Reflection: In what ways am I presenting the God within me to others?

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for taking your residence in me. Occupy your temple fully for I belong totally to you.

FAITH BYTE: I am the temple of the Holy Ghost. I am God’s house address. I now belong to God.

This Week Walk of Faith: Carry the atmosphere of God to others. Ask God to lead you to someone who needs salvation this week.
