SAFE AND SECURE

Scripture: Esther 3:5-9; 7:6-10

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord…” Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)

It is every believer’s desire that all their problems fade away once they get born again. However, this is not the case. God does not speak of a life without challenges for believers. He rather assures us a life of his constant presence that ensures victory for us no matter the circumstance.

We see the evidence of God’s assurance of safety in the life of Mordecai (v.5). His accusers who planned his demise unknowingly set in motion the process of their own destruction. Their plan for Mordecai turned out to be their experience (v.10). The devil can work through people to lie and speak against you, castigate you, accuse you and sometimes threaten your life. Your safest hiding place is God (Ps 61:3; Prov. 18:10; Ps 3:3).

Be assured you are safe and secure in God’s arm. He is near. He is your witness against every word spoken. He is your armour against every threat and he will raise a standard against every attack of the enemy. Mordecai and his people knew this secret. They prayed and waited on God and he showed up. Trust God to do the same for you. You can count on him as your safest and surest protection against every wile of the enemy. It is your heritage.

PRAYER:
Lord, thank you for destroying every weapon of the enemy against my life in Jesus name, Amen.

FAITH BYTE:
The Lord is my shield and buckler, therefore, I shall not be afraid.
