LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY

Scripture: 2 Samuel 20:1-3
“Let a man so account for us, as the minister of Christ and stewards of the ministries of God.” 1 Corinthians 4:1 (KJV)

We must decide to have control of the circumstances of our life. We must make up our mind to have dominion in life, but to do this, we cannot afford to operate or walk in the flesh because control is a force that emanates from the spirit. We have been given responsibility of leading people, and a good leader knows that there are God-given rules to follow to make a right decision.

As a leader or an employer, how do you treat your employee or those under your authority, do you treat them like you will like to be treated yourself? Do you give to them what is due them, do you make decisions that are unfair towards them just to undo them? The bible says “do to others what you wish for yourself”. As a believer, instill discipline and correct in love (Prov. 3:11; Job 36:10). Your intent should never be to hurt the one who is in the wrong.

As Christian employees, we must learn to discipline ourselves by putting away attitudes and behavior that are unprofitable to our lives and our jobs (1 Cor. 10:23). We should not allow the way thing are done influence our actions in the workplace. Rather, we are to influence the system of the world for Christ by letting the word of God so transform our lives that it finds expression in our actions everywhere we are.

PRAYER:
Lord, I ask for the spirit of humility to be responsible to all around me in Jesus name, Amen.

FAITH BYTE:
I will make decisions that will be profitable to those you have place over me.
