BE A TEACHER

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”  2 Tim 2:2 (KJV)

A pool which only receives water but does not give out will eventually stink and reek. In the same way, the life of anyone who is just satisfied to listen to messages without any impact in his life and without passing the same message on to others, will eventually become stale. You were saved so you can save others, and you are being taught and trained to become a teacher to others.

Titus was appointed by Paul to be a pastor and teacher in Crete. But he was not to remain there forever, therefore he needed to raise teaches and leaders in his place. He was instructed on what and how to teach older men and women who were in turn to teach the younger ones.  Everyone is expected to be a teacher, either directly or indirectly. You should grow to the point where you are also instructing others.

Are you a teacher? Be a teacher of good things. Are you being taught? Learn with all your heart because someday you may have to teach others. You cannot give what you do not have. Learn and keep learning for there is no end to knowledge. Then teach others what you have learned. Start with the ‘little’ you have learnt and God will expand your knowledge in all things.

P RAYER:
Lord, I open my heart to learn of you, that I may be a faithful teacher to others in Jesus name, Amen.

FAITH BYTE
I am faithful to share what I have received with others.
