“He is like the light of morning at sunshine on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth” 2 Samuel 23:4 (NIV)
Leadership is a task that has lots of responsibilities attached to it. A lot of times and if not careful, a leader may become weary and consider stepping down in order to enjoy some rest and relief. Leadership is a task that requires lots of care and sensitivity.
People look up to leaders to take decisions constantly because they are responsible for the ones under their care. The people are bound to whatever decision the leader takes, thus, they suffer the consequences of any wrong decisions or step taken. David led Israel at a point in its history and he was acknowledged as a man after God’s own heart because he obeyed God and influenced those he led to obey God also (1 Sam.13:14).
The bible says that when one rules over people in righteousness, he is afraid to make God angry (v.3). As leaders leading people in different areas of life, we are expected to lead in the fear of God. God requires this of us and blesses all that is ours if we are obedient. Remember that God is looking up to you to lead like Christ did.
PRAYER:
Lord, help me to lead like Christ did in whatever capacity I find myself in Jesus name, Amen.
FAITH BYTE:
I am a good leader and I represent God in all my actions.
