Scripture: Matthew 6:25-34
“…Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body,
what ye shall put on…” Matthew 6:25 (KJV)
what ye shall put on…” Matthew 6:25 (KJV)
For many people, life can like a daily struggle. They wake up each day constantly worried over how to make ends meet. The bible has something to say about this.
God’s will for us is that we live in abundance every day of our lives. The key, however, to this life of abundance is seeking God first. Many people instead choose to go the wrong direction of seeking abundance first. They strive and struggle to make their dreams come through, when God has already extended an open invitation to them to seek him first so he can add all other things needed. Why choose the hard way when you can have it easy?
Life should not be a struggle. There is no need to anxiously and relentless pursue material things when all you need is supplied in God. Abraham trusted him as Jehovah-Jireh (the provider) and God supplied what he needed (Gen 22:14). God wants you to enjoy the abundance of His resources and through you, bless others. Trust him to fulfill your heart desires. If He can care for creatures as little as the ravens, then, He will do much more for you who have been made in His own image. It starts with genuinely making Him the top priority in your life.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank you for being my Jehovah-Jireh in Jesus name, Amen.
FAITH BYTE:
I seek God first, therefore, my needs are met
