KEEP AT IT

Scripture: 2 Kings 13:20-25

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith. Galatians 5:22 (KJV)

Elisha said shoot and he shot and Elisha sent the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance from Syria. “Thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek till thou have consumed them.” The word ‘till’ used in the passage meant it was not going to happen once but in a process.

In verse 18, he was asked to strike the ground and he did it only thrice and stopped. There is a problem with his persistence. Many of us stop too early and begin to complain; “I have tithed two times and heaven has not intervened.” The king’s action here proved the internal content of his heart.

You must develop an attitude of persistence. When you are seeking the face of God in prayer, you stay there in faith until you get result, you don’t quit because. The bible says: “If thou faint in the days of adversity, your strength is small” (Proverbs 24:10). So stay put and exercise your faith, your answer is bound to be manifested.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I will stay in your promises until my answer comes in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: Through faith and patience, I will inherit the promises.
